TACTICAL TAILOR - Eclipse Concealed Carry Pouch

Details
Category: Pouches
Created: Thursday, 30 July 2009 21:24

DIMS: 7.5" tall X 6.5" wide X 1.25" deep

The Eclipse pouch offers some nice discreet carry options for those who want to keep things more low key. It won't be as fast as a holster, but has a much better chance to be perceived by others as just some random organizer pouch. The main intent was to wear on one's belt so 2 short Malice clips are included, however the back has enough PALS webbing to allow usage of long Malice clips for good connections to larger packs / platforms. The backing has stiffener integrated to make the pouch keep its shape. Despite there is no padding, the stiffener helps keep weapon poking sensations away.

The main opening is a reversed zipper with double sliders to make the pouch ambidextrous. The zippers go all the way down to about mid way to create a nice large opening. Inside is a loop velcro field with a webbing / velcro based universal holster. This comes standard with the Eclipse and is slightly different than other versions in which it has an elastic loop to hold 1 magazine as well. The main compartment area was made for small to medium pistols so a compact class pistol fits well. To give you an idea of limits; my full size Sig P226 barely fit inside with the modular holster removed. An example of a nice fit would be a HK P7 series.

On the front is a simple sleeve pocket with 1 slider zipper opening. Although intended to just hold small accessories and papers, this pocket is tall enough to hold extra pistol magazines. The colored strip down the middle helps add to the civilian look flare while also being functional in which it is sewn to allow billowing of this smaller compartment.

If looking to pack some heat without causing a commotion, the Eclipse is a simple and effective pouch to do so. For those who like the setup, yet are less worried about looks, Ranger Green and Tan colors are also available.
